Exploring the GMC Terrain's History
The GMC Terrain debuted as a 2010 model year following the success of the Acadia crossover. It had leading fuel economy and offered front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive along with a 182-horsepower 2.4-liter or a 264-horsepower 3-liter V6. Right from the start, GMC included a rearview camera, satellite radio, and OnStar as standard features on the Terrain. The only change for 2011 was making the V6 engine Flex Fuel capable, something that extended to the 4-cylinder the following year. The upscale Terrain Denali was added to the lineup for 2013, and the V6 engine was updated to a 3.6-liter version with nearly identical fuel economy. There was also a new safety package offered. The passenger-favorite 4G LTE Wi-Fi was added for 2015.
